Great River MP-2MH The original Great River preamp, when you want clean with some guts! Everything you want is in the name. The M means the unit has input and output transformers, while the H means it also has 1/4-inch outputs as well as XLR ins and outs on the back of the unit.. Of course, the 2 means it's a stereo unit and MP stand for mic pre. Gain goes up to 64db in 2db increments. It's a detentented, clicked-in knob, so if you set it for 42db, for example, you can go back to the same setting precisely. The front plate includes three switches, one for phantom power, a 15db pad and a phase reverse. There are also 1/4-inch direct inputs for guitar and bass. I have used this only in a smoke free studio, and it has been a perfect preamp for a variety of mics and sound sources. The only thing separating it from new are slight cosmetic scratches on the rack ears. No one will know this once it's racked. These amps were hand made right here in the USA, only top of the line components used, and have a signature sound quality to absolutely die for. I have collected and run Poweramper for years.
