Scientist, Corn Transformation System Improvement Req Number: mons-00009405 Location(s): Mystic CT Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative plant transformation biologist to join our Corn Transformation Team. The candidate will work to design experiments aimed at system improvements related to the production of quality transgenic plants. Responsibilities include regular communication of research results to other team members, presentations for team meetings, and ability to work cross functionally with Monsanto's wide range of functional teams. Experience with Agrobacterium mediated transformation of monocots and elite germplasm is preferred. Individual should work well in a team environment and have demonstrated a high proficiency for attention to detail. Required Skills: Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Cell Biology, or related field is required. A strong technical knowledge in plant tissue culture and Agrobacterium mediated transformation is required.
